In
my creative quest, I draw inspiration from the past and present forces that
have contributed to the shaping of the terrestrial globe.
Once I have chosen the pieces of wood that best evoke what
I see as the marks
of the time and place in which they evolved, I transform them into a combination
of folds, forms, tensions, colours and rhythms to which I often associate
heterogeneous metallic elements.
This
gives birth to sculptures by which I try to express my sensibility to natural
forces and time scales, blindly denied
by our modern societies.
Swiss geographer and artist, I spent two years in British Columbia,
and now work again on the shores of Lake Geneva.
